The T-20 Transmission first built by Borg-Warner, and ATV-O-MATIC, now built by Skid Steer Corp. has been used in thousands of Amphibious All Terrain Vehicles including Max II, Max IV, Attex, Hustler , Starcraft, Swamp Fox, Camel and many other manufactures. It as a popular choice of custom machine builders, since it gives forward, reverse, brakes, steering all within one unit.

Pull shift collar off of output shaft.

Remove oil seal

Pry up on seal with a small crowbar

Lift seal outward.

 

Repeat process on seal in other case half.

 To remove main case bearings, remove snap ring shown by red pointer and tap bearing outward from the case.


Repeat process on bearing in other case half.

Seperate drum assemblies,

Lift ring drum away from drum assembly

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Note location of thrust washers on planetary gears.

NOTE: Not all versions of T-20's will have thrust washers on each planetary gears, do not add thrust washers, if there were none.


Note: Thrust washers come with T-20 major kit
