Step - by - Step How to Clutch Removal |

Here is the problem, a 30 year old T-20 out of a MAX,
machine was abused and has been sitting outside for 10 years. whole
trans is rusty, clutch will not come off.
Note: Sometimes the clutch will just slide off, with no rust on the shaft. But, many times not.........

Here is the stuck clutch, note bolt holding clutch onto
the T-20 has been removed.

This enables this tool to be used for: Click on PHOTOS to see larger view

Note: Be usre to tighten tool down hard, this prevents
tool from bouncing and damaging the shaft of the T-20.
|
|
Hit tool with large hammer, object is to drive the shaft of the transmission
out of the bore of the clutch, by physical force.
|
|
Clutch coming off, as T-20 shaft is being driven out of the clutch.

Its' off. Note: When reinstalling a clutch alway sand all rust off the T-20 shaft and inside the bore of the clutch, install ANTI-SEIZE on the mating surfaces of the shaft and the clutch.
